AI Keep Clean is a workspace design and structure tool for Visual Studio Code. The point is to see which project is open in a glance — and to keep nested code readable.
Installation
Marketplace ID ready-4-it.aikeepclean; verify status bar and Activity Bar.
Only VS Code is officially tested. Check derivatives such as Cursor yourself before buying.
License
Free vs Trial/Pro, Free=2 roots, purchase key vs activation key.
AKC always starts in Free. Activation is only required for Trial or Pro.
First steps
Colors, status-bar terminal, Explorer Root Colors, indent, presets/tinted.
A readable workspace: colors, terminal, Explorer roots, indent — without hand-editing JSON. AI comes last and is optional.
Troubleshooting
Reload, Free=2 cap, Dark/Light, terminal click, Colour Zen, mixed-up tokens.
Symptom: no Activity Bar entry or no AKC in the status bar.
