ExtensionBazaar does not replace the built-in Extensions UI — it bridges the foreign gallery so you can browse the official site and install with an explicit confirm.

Companion layout

Gallery on the left. Support on the right. Status bar Bazaar (or Browse) opens a paired layout: the official marketplace page in the host browser, and a narrow Support rail for Install, status, and fallbacks. Closing either side ends the pair — one gallery browser, not a stack of tabs.

Install flow

  1. Open Bazaar and pick a foreign market.
  2. Open an extension details page in the gallery browser.
  3. Support detects the page (or paste the address bar).
  4. Click Install in {host} and confirm — we pick a host-compatible version.

Built for forks

Designed for Cursor, Visual Studio Code, VSCodium, Windsurf, Positron, and similar VS Code–compatible hosts. Native Extensions rows stay native; Bazaar handles the foreign galleries.

Find updates

History tracks successful Bazaar installs. Find updates compares those IDs against both public galleries when you click Check — no silent background scanning by default.

  • Galleries stay official pages in the host browser — we do not embed or rewrite marketplace HTML.
