Cursor Agents Plugin

Troubleshooting

Fix common CCC issues: .vsix misconception, pill sync, Pro locked.

.vsix / VS Code Misconception

Symptom: searching VS Code Marketplace or expecting a .vsix install.

Fix: CCC is not AKC. Install Free via Agents → Customize only. Pro comes from Zebra module ccc, not Marketplace sideloading.

Pill Does Not Sync With Selected Chat

Symptom: Agents chat is selected but pill label/accent stays stale.

Fix:

  1. Reload Cursor window.
  2. Confirm ai-keep-clean-ccc is enabled under Agents → Customize.
  3. Restart Project HUD (hud:start).
  4. Select the chat again — wait one beat for Glass sync.
  5. Check HUD Settings: project label and accent are configured.

Pro Features Stay Locked

Symptom: logo marker, pattern marker, or prefs export still unavailable after purchase.

Fix:

  1. Verify activation key uses product_id: ccc (AKC token will not work).
  2. Confirm HUD shows Trial or Pro status after activation.
  3. Download and install the Zebra ccc build — Free GitHub stays Free-tier.
  4. Reload Cursor and reopen HUD Settings.

HUD Does Not Open

Symptom: hud:start fails or no window appears.

Fix: Pro HUD host requires Windows. On macOS/Linux use in-editor HUD paths where available and confirm plugin version matches your Cursor build.

Still Stuck?

Note your Cursor version, plugin source (Free GitHub vs Zebra), and HUD license status when contacting support.

Requirements

CCC is a Cursor Agents plugin (Agents → Customize) — not a VS Code extension, not a Marketplace .vsix, and not installed via VS Code’s Extensions view. The Project HUD host is Windows-first.
